About Runvel
Runvel is an adaptive running coach for runners of every level and any goal. It turns your recent training, available days, goal, and recovery signals into a plan that changes as your running changes.
What Runvel does
Runvel connects the parts of running that are usually split across several apps. It builds the plan, records the run, coaches the session, and uses what actually happened to shape what comes next.
- Adaptive plans: train for consistency, a first event, a personal best, or a race from 5K through marathon.
- Live coaching: hear guidance by heart-rate zone when heart rate is available, or by pace and effort when it is not.
- Recovery-aware training: use permitted heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, and sleep signals to make hard sessions easier when recovery looks low.
- Run tracking: record planned and off-plan runs, routes, splits, pace, cadence, elevation, and time in zone.
Who Runvel is for
Runvel is for beginners, returning runners, experienced runners, and racers. You can use it to start building consistency, prepare for an event, improve a previous result, or keep training with more structure.
Phones, watches, and sensors
Runvel is available for iPhone and includes an independent Apple Watch app. It also works with compatible Garmin, Polar, COROS, Suunto, WHOOP, chest straps, and arm bands that share heart rate through the standard Bluetooth Heart Rate Service. Other watch platforms can contribute workouts and recovery data through Apple Health when their companion apps share those data.
You can also use Runvel without a watch. The iPhone records the run and the coach switches from heart-rate zones to pace and perceived effort.
Android is in development. The Android button on the homepage opens the active launch waitlist.
How Runvel approaches training
Runvel is designed to respond to evidence instead of pretending every training rule is settled. Its readiness guidance can reduce a hard session, but does not make an easy day harder. Its published training engine review explains which rules have support, where evidence is limited, and how those findings affect the product.
Runvel provides general training guidance, not medical advice. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
